Harry Enten was stunned by a whopping 71-point swing against Trump among independents, calling it a "political nightmare waiting to happen" in the midterms.
Trumps first term got saved by Jerome Powell. Economy wise he didn’t do anywhere near as much damage as this time around. On top of handing out covid checks and printing money like crazy people think he did an ok job even though JPow was holding the economy together with scotch tape.
That’s the irony, isn’t it? The bumbling fool would have been even worse off if it wasn’t for the guy he’s trying to have investigated for bullshit reasons.
Did he even say thank you once? Where is James Bowman when Donvict could really use him?
A guy I work with actually cited that as proof that he was smart, since he actually walked away free and clear after making a ton of money off the deal. Apparently, even bankruptcies are considered “successful” now.
And that guy almost gets it… trump is successful at burning everyone else and walking away with the money. Which is exactly what he’s doing with the presidency.
He isn’t a successful businessman, he is a successful conman. Idiots can’t tell the difference.
LOL, dumbass donnie talked about low gas prices before he came into office the second time and just a few days ago said high gas prices will make us a lot of money.
Consistency is not really something that conservatives do…
What are you looking to change? Really the best we can hope for is stalemate. If democrats gain enough seats, cons won’t be able to pass more damaging bills nor rubberststamp donvict. Hopefully we’ll see resistance to donvicts evasion of constitutional checks and balances.
But given the partisan divide and dysfunctional Congress , without the white house and a filibuster-proof majority, there’s not much hope for starting the recovery
What’s truly “stunning” is that so many people actually thought he was going to better on the economy, in the first place.
“But Joe Biden used american oil reserves to lower gas prices!”
Guess they were not watching him in the first term, LOL.
But then, they don’t really look at how W handled things, either.

Lots of people somehow hadn’t heard that he sent casinos into bankruptcy four times.

He is making the classic mistake of thinking that he would be Trump in this scenario, and not the casino employee who lost their job

Even more stunning is how many people think the midterms are either going to be A. Honest and free or B. Change a goddamn thing
