Putin couldn’t have picked a better tool to do it.

Nah, we’re kicking ass and taking names. The problem is that it is little girls, kids and babies, doctors, momma’s and men who otherwise would have lived a more or less OK life. I mean I would not choose to live under that bearded asshole that got wacked on the first day. But I’m here living under orange psycho. I still deserve to live in Freedom. So, no, I don’t think we’re running out of ammo or military stuff. But we’re using it for all the wrong reasons and we should stop. We, as in the war people. I as a citizen have no right to vote or veto or anything. Just saying anything about it is now dangerous. I remember we could call the guy “sleepy Joe” or make jokes about getting a blowjob. Now we can’t say much about an orange fruit.

In history, the rebound government that usually replaced the bad one is heavily authoritarian.

Even if the whole point of the revolution was to get rid of a dictator.

Just like how Napoleon came into power.

People will often become very extreme in wanting the opposite of what they had. To the point that they also take on authoritarian values to make that happen fast and are ruthless to dissenters. Even those that are on their side but just not as extreme as them.

      This doesn’t always happen.

But it does happen a lot.

And even in more milder forms such as presidency in the US. Its a rare occurrence that the presidents party controls house and Congress for the duration of their term.

Usually whatever party wins presidency, it makes the other party voters more determined to vote their people into the other positions.

If we consider the left taking over. -in the U.S they are generally not authoritarian. Well … depending on how you define it.

They typically are when comes to wanting more state control over business practices. And many policies push for more public services and less private ones. Which ultimately would reduce people’s choice. Controls the peoples access and options.

(Not against this, but just pointing out that consequence).

If extreme left becomes dominant, I’m not sure that will be as harmful as the trump regime. But it’s hard to say.

I also doubt many are going to give up the powers that let trump do what he has done. So I don’t expect them to fix our government systems to protect us from another dictator. And.

After people get lax, the alt right will make another power grab. And might even have more unchecked power at that point.

      It’s a seesaw.

Trump is the most American thing ever, hand picked by our United Citizens, this is American Ideology and culture concentrated to its maxim. Putin’s involvement does not matter. This is the distilled American Spirit possessing the corpse of its favorite child rapist.

As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
