President Donald Trump’s approval rating dropped to 36%, its lowest level since his return to the White House, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Despite Trump’s declining overall popularity, 38% of registered voters polled said Republicans had better stewardship of the U.S. economy, compared to 34% of voters who picked Democrats on the topic.

The GOP would have to basically destroy the world economy before the average US voter even started to think Democrats could do a slightly better job with the US economy.

Overall, about 61% of those polled disapproved of the strikes, an increase from 59% who disapproved of the strikes from last week’s poll.

That’s within the margin of error, so the increase in disapproval isn’t a big deal. But the underwater points is a huge fucking deal. 25 points underwater is crazy, and I believe that republicans would vote for any white dude the dems put up, no matter what they say to the pollsters. The mood is wild right now.

Dems gonna run Gavin Newsom and lose in 2028, no matter how bad things get or even if Trump runs for a third term.

Isn’t this more or less the same as it has always been? Even during 1.0, about 33% was the MAGA ride-or-die base. If we had to vote in a Trump election again tomorrow, I’m sure that the missing 18% or more would show up once more to fuck us all.

It’s just a single outlier, his overall approval averaged over several polls is at 41% (RealClearPolling) or 40% (Nate Silver).
