But in the end dems only hold the status quo until the next reps move in, so it’s really just a matter of time, anyway. Voting dems feels like it should be helping, but it’s not. It’s a race to the bottom, and the choice is between fast descent and slow descent.
The system is working as intended. The first step to change it is accepting it’s not working for the people, no matter what you vote.
Having said that, if confined to the system, the dems are obviously the sane choice.
“We beat teen pregnancy!” - “Oh no!”
Elaborated: “Oh no! Fewer poverty-locked consumer slaves! Who do we convince breast feeding is unhealthy and peddle formula to? How will we paint immigration as a bad thing if unemployment goes down? What if - heaven forbid - social mobility goes up?”
