Isn’t it crazy that he tried to spin it into success so much that he even wanted to put himself and Iran on the same team?

I don’t think that was a terrible idea. Iran set up an AyaTOLLah, if US would stop the ships that Iran allowed Iran wouldn’t be able to charge ships for passing. It would also be hurting by this closure and motivated to have the straight open.
But that would make sense to do it 5 weeks ago not now.
And before that if they would provide insurance for carriers immediately as well, preventing movement from stopping maybe it would prevent the closure altogether.
But trump instead lifted sanctions on Iran and Russia for some reason.

If they thought of it 5 weeks ago, maybe that wouldn’t be as terrible idea.
Same with providing the insurance coverage right away, so ships wouldn’t stop the movement.
But we are dealing with geniuses here. I mean trump’s uncle was in MIT so obviously trump has to be smart. /s

Because in terms of voting record, Booker actually doesn’t look that bad: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gPBdBrqVCbtuy7f1bjOdCDUzEv5RqbbU1yYAr3KoHYE He is on 8th place.
I actually have feeling that he TACOd out of nuking Iran because military refused the orders. Firing those generals (of which one was chaplain) during the war is extremely suspicious.
BTW blocking the strait if they did it right away, would prevent Iran setting up a tollbooth and would motivate Iran to also want the strait open, but those geniuses thought of it 6 weeks later after lifting sanctions on Iran and Russia.
