00:09:34 Speaker 08: on June 25th. Financial staff were

00:09:36 Speaker 08: able to. update that that financial

00:09:39 Speaker 08: spreadsheet. We received a request as

00:09:41 Speaker 08: as noted by Councilor McQueen yesterday

00:09:43 Speaker 08: if if there was an update

00:09:45 Speaker 08: of the financial spreadsheet, and so

00:09:48 Speaker 08: we shared that with County Council

00:09:49 Speaker 08: and shared that with County Council

00:09:51 Speaker 08: this morning, so that all members

00:09:53 Speaker 08: have that. So all municipal

00:09:56 Speaker 08: staff as well as now County

00:09:58 Speaker 08: Council members have the updated financial

00:10:02 Speaker 08: spreadsheet that incorporates the modifications that

00:10:05 Speaker 08: were made as part of the

00:10:06 Speaker 08: operational. considerations, which was the the

00:10:09 Speaker 08: changes that were made as part

00:10:14 Speaker 08: of that, as well as the

00:10:17 Speaker 08: the transitional funding and the five

00:10:19 Speaker 08: percent guaranteed portion of that that

00:10:20 Speaker 08: funding model. So those are the

00:10:22 Speaker 08: the two elements that were incorporated

00:10:24 Speaker 08: as part of that. It's important

00:10:26 Speaker 08: that you read the notes on

00:10:28 Speaker 08: page two as well as the

00:10:31 Speaker 08: table because that tells the full

00:10:34 Speaker 08: story of of what's in that.

00:10:37 Speaker 08: document, but again, subject to the

00:10:39 Speaker 08: minutes being approved, we'll be bringing

00:10:41 Speaker 08: forward road transfer bylaws for council's

00:10:42 Speaker 08: consideration. That's planned to be at

00:10:44 Speaker 08: the next meeting, and then we'll

00:10:47 Speaker 08: work with obviously the municipal staff

00:10:49 Speaker 08: to be able to finalize those

00:10:54 Speaker 01: MLUs and work towards all the

00:10:56 Speaker 01: transition plans between now and June

00:12:31 Speaker 01: bylaw is to confirm all

00:12:33 Speaker 01: actions and proceedings of the Council.

00:13:09 Speaker 08: Director of Finance and Treasurer, has

00:13:11 Speaker 08: decided to take an early retirement

00:13:13 Speaker 08: after more than 24 years with

00:13:15 Speaker 08: with Gray County. Mary Lou has

00:13:17 Speaker 08: made a lasting impact through her

00:13:19 Speaker 08: commitment to public service and financial

00:13:21 Speaker 08: stewardship, and we're grateful for her

00:13:23 Speaker 08: contributions over the years. And we're

00:13:25 Speaker 08: sure all the best in the

00:13:26 Speaker 08: next chapter. To a Chapter to

00:13:28 Speaker 08: assist with the transition, Sue Murray

00:13:31 Speaker 08: will assume the acting treasurer role

00:13:33 Speaker 08: on an interim basis, and that

00:13:35 Speaker 08: was just confirmed by the bylaw

00:13:37 Speaker 08: that was just approved. And Garrett

00:13:39 Speaker 08: Reed will serve as acting deputy

00:13:41 Speaker 08: treasurer. And these interim roles are

00:13:45 Speaker 08: we undertake a recruitment process for

00:13:47 Speaker 08: a permanent treasurer that will occur

00:14:41 Speaker 09: you today a highlight reel showcasing

00:14:43 Speaker 09: some of our capital construction projects

00:14:45 Speaker 09: from 2025. These projects reflect

00:14:47 Speaker 09: the county's ongoing commitment to investing

00:14:49 Speaker 09: in a safe, reliable, sustainable

00:14:52 Speaker 09: transportation infrastructure. So throughout the

00:14:53 Speaker 09: year, we continue to expand

00:14:55 Speaker 09: our network of. Continued to expand

00:14:58 Speaker 09: our network of paved shoulders, improving

00:14:59 Speaker 09: safety and accessibility for all road

00:15:01 Speaker 09: users, while also delivering several pavement

00:15:02 Speaker 09: preservation initiatives designed to protect our

00:15:06 Speaker 09: infrastructure investments and extend the

00:15:07 Speaker 09: service life of our road network.

00:15:09 Speaker 09: As we often say, one of

00:15:11 Speaker 09: the most cost-effective strategies available to

00:15:13 Speaker 09: us is keeping our good roads

00:15:15 Speaker 09: good. While the video highlights

00:15:18 Speaker 09: the engineering achievements of the construction

00:15:21 Speaker 09: season, it also serves as a

00:15:23 Speaker 09: reminder of the remarkable landscapes that

00:15:25 Speaker 09: we have across our county. which

00:15:27 Speaker 09: makes it such a special place—from

00:15:29 Speaker 09: rolling farmland, forests, and escarpment vistas

00:15:32 Speaker 09: to beautiful shorelines, rivers, and

00:15:35 Speaker 09: vibrant rural communities—these projects are

00:15:37 Speaker 09: woven into the fabric of our

00:15:40 Speaker 09: county, and makes it a privilege

00:15:42 Speaker 09: to serve. I also want to

00:15:44 Speaker 09: acknowledge the dedication of county staff,

00:15:46 Speaker 09: our consulting partners, contractors, conservation authorities,

00:15:49 Speaker 09: and utility agencies, whose collaborative efforts

00:15:50 Speaker 09: helped make this project these projects

00:15:53 Speaker 09: a success. I'd also want

00:15:55 Speaker 09: to especially recognize our county

00:15:59 Speaker 09: engineering team, whose work extends

00:16:02 Speaker 09: far beyond the construction season

00:16:04 Speaker 09: itself. Throughout the year, the team

00:16:07 Speaker 09: is responsible for developing and advancing

00:16:10 Speaker 09: capital project designs, investigating traffic and

00:16:11 Speaker 09: drainage concerns, responding to emerging infrastructure

00:16:13 Speaker 09: challenges, coordinating with stakeholders, and continually

00:16:16 Speaker 09: seeking innovative solutions to improve the

00:16:18 Speaker 09: safety, efficiency, and longevity of our

00:16:22 Speaker 09: transportation network. The success of our

00:16:24 Speaker 09: annual capital program is built upon

00:16:26 Speaker 09: countless hours of planning, analysis, design,

00:16:29 Speaker 09: and problem-solving that often occur long

00:16:30 Speaker 09: before construction equipment arrives on site.

00:16:31 Speaker 09: The professionalism, technical expertise, and commitment

00:16:34 Speaker 09: to continuous improvement play a critical

00:16:40 Speaker 09: role in delivering the infrastructure that

00:16:42 Speaker 09: supports our communities. So, I hope

00:16:43 Speaker 09: you enjoy this brief look back

00:16:45 Speaker 09: at the 2025 construction season and

00:21:46 Speaker 10: the continued investment being made towards

00:22:04 Speaker 10: regular commute between Blue Mountains and

00:22:08 Speaker 10: places I've been able to visit

00:22:09 Speaker 10: across the county. And I know

00:22:10 Speaker 10: that we're all watching our particular

00:22:11 Speaker 10: corners of the county and and

00:22:14 Speaker 10: seeing what kind of progress that

00:22:16 Speaker 10: makes. And I have to say,

00:22:17 Speaker 10: the map that I have of

00:22:20 Speaker 10: Gray County that I keep in

00:22:21 Speaker 10: my office back in the Blue

00:22:23 Speaker 10: Mountains is specifically the one that

00:22:25 Speaker 10: is that marks not just all

00:22:26 Speaker 10: the roads but the culverts and

00:22:27 Speaker 10: bridges too, because it's so important

00:22:30 Speaker 10: for us to. remember all of

00:22:32 Speaker 10: the work that goes under and

00:22:33 Speaker 10: in all of that work that

00:22:35 Speaker 10: we just see on the surface.

00:22:43 Speaker 10: So when members of the public

00:22:44 Speaker 10: see beautiful surfaces that you've redone,

00:22:46 Speaker 10: there's so much more behind it,

00:22:49 Speaker 11: and we very much appreciate everything

00:22:52 Speaker 11: you do to keep that structure

00:22:56 Speaker 11: going. Okay, so with that, we
