I had to switch from Bell to Rogers because my SIM card died and the only way to get a new SIM card activated was by receiving an activation code via text. I couldn’t receive texts because the card was dead. Rogers also sucks ass though.

They can’t bring their money with them to hell

“So the first thing you wanna do is never ger out of the tank. It’s dangerous out there”

Most of this seems pretty ridiculous, but the thing about the Northwest Passage makes sense. Recent events have shown us exactly how a state can control a shipping lane if it wants to.

Many of the same reasons they’re going after Iran - the US holds long, long grudges against anyone who humiliates them, and they also cultivate extremely reactionary weaponized diasporas from people who fled revolutionary states. Little Marco wants his plantations back.

Ah, yes, then I would agree.

Execute these bourgeois parasites

The pro-Shah ones? Where?

It can always collapse from the inside amidst external pressure. I choose to be hopeful

Yeah, that’s true. These are state-sponsored protests, so the RCMP and CSIS aren’t going to be doing anything against them. It was nevertheless dispiriting to seem them dwarf the pro-Palestine protests and any protests for domestic issues combined.

There’s more to it than that. Religion is definitely tied into it, but the basic issue is that Israel is an ethno-supremacist state. You can be an atheist zionist, for instance. You can be an atheist and be fully integrated into Israeli society, provided your ethnic identity is Jewish.
Theodor Herzl, for instance, was an atheist. He didn’t believe in God or in Judaism as a religion. He advocated the creation of “Israel” as a secular colonial project, and the religious aspect was from the start just intended to rope-in the stupids.
In fact, the Israelis that take Judaism the most seriously, the ultra-orthodox Haredim, also have the least loyalty and the least commitment to the Israeli state. They aren’t really bought in to the Israeli project at all, they don’t see it as legitimate - Israel can only be restored when the Messiah comes, colonizing Palestine and creating a “State of Israel” is just trying to force God’s hand and is sacrilege. They basically just get supported by the state to study the Torah full-time because Israel sees itself as the Jewish state, and that’s their only real connection to the state.

Hopefully there won’t be an “Israel” to do these things soon enough.

It absolutely is. Shame the stupid pro-Shah protests were over a thousand times bigger.
Even Fukuyama agrees that North Korea was right to get nukes.
